Kate Elizabeth SHRUBSOLE

What a lovely photo this is and my thanks to Sue

for letting me have a copy & I loved your dad's

description of her Sue!

She definitely has the 'Shrubsole' look about her.

Brian & Val Fagg, holders of the original photo, are also researching this branch of the family. If anyone is interested in making contact with them please let me have your e mail address & I will forward it to them.

Mabel F Shrubsole

1890 - 1970

Arthur McCullum Forrester

My first cousin, once removed and my second cousin.

This photo was taken in 1939.  The writing on the back of the photo says "in the park", and we assume in Folkestone, Kent.  However, looking at it closely it may well have been taken in Kingsnorth Gardens, Folkestone.  Mabel was age 46 and Arthur, her son age 22 when the photo was taken.

My thanks to Norman & his late sister Valda, my second cousins in Australia for this photo.

Margaret Ellen SHRUBSOLE [nee APPS]

1871 - 1932

This is the grave of Margaret Ellen Shrubsole nee Apps.

The location is the church yard at Collier Street, Kent.

Peter  Shrubsole

My first cousin three times removed

Peter was the driver of the first motor bus in Folkestone in 1902, when the fare from Cheriton to Folkestone was 3d.

Peter  Shrubsole

This photo had written on the back "1932 Working Days".

My thanks to my fourth cousin Dave, and his wife Maggie, for letting me have a copy of this photo.
