The Australian Connection
Frederick William John emigrated to Australia in 1912 at the age of 17.
He fought in the first World War & you will find a lovely history of him here on this site which was recorded by his daughter Valda, who is also sadly no longer with us. I was very grateful to Valda for sharing this information several years ago & so glad she had the foresight to write it all down so it was never forgotten.
